Girard-Perregaux Latest Watch Models

Girard-Perregaux has show their latest works in SIHH 2010. They've put down their marker with the Tourbillon for Three Gold Bridges, The GP 1966 Chronograph, GP 1966 Full Calendar, GP 1966 Small Second, ww.tc Small Second and the Laureato Quartz.

Firstly, the Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges (above) is shelled in a circular case which has been increased to 41mm. The movement design is still of course inspired by the iconic original created by Constant Girard-Perregaux in 1860. Poignantly, only 50 watch will be made.

The key feature of the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Chronograph (above) is the insertion of a column wheel chronograph onto a smart case from their 1966 collection. It's fleshed in pink gold and has a diameter of 40mm.

Palladium is right at the heart of the appeal of the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Full Calendar (above). Unsurprisingly given the name, this limited edition timepiece displays a full calendar with date, day of the week, month and moon phases. Only 199 of this little number will be made.

The second of their palladium based timepieces, the Girard Perregaux 1966 Small Second (above) focuses on readability. Likewise, only 199 will go on sale.

Meanwhile, the latest addition to the ww.tc Small Second (above) genre pairs pink gold with a deep, black dial.

The Laureato Quartz (above) is a celebration. Back in 1971 Girard-Perregaux created the first watch to exhibit quartz movements with a frequency of 32,768hz, which has since been adopted as the standard.

This piece therefore marks 40 years of Girard-Perregaux quartz watches as well as 35 years of the Laureato watch. Forged from steel, only 40 pieces will be made.
