The Chanel Fall Couture 2011 show was held at the Grand Palais, Paris, is by definition grand. Titled Under the Sign of the Lion, a giant 40-foot-tall golden lion was stood at the centerpiece of the show, paying homage to Coco’s astrological starsign.
The collection featured clothes that are powerful and controlled in strong royal colours like gold, metalic royal blue. Dresses and jackets are lavishly embellished with baroque-style embroideries and tapestries.
